PRINTPILOT STANDARDS

CNP4 gives industrial data a common language

CNP4—China Printing & Packaging Equipment Digital Intelligence Standard Protocol 4.0—is PRINTPILOT’s open specification framework for printing and packaging data acquisition and interconnection. It aligns objects, semantics, interfaces, metrics, quality rules and delivery practices.

STANDARD SCOPE

Standardization is a shared rule, not an inflexible target

Group standards define the common baseline. Companies retain controlled room to adjust values and coefficients for product mix, equipment age and operating conditions.
01

Organization

Company, campus, building, floor, workshop, process, line and equipment with customer-configurable organization trees.

02

Equipment Data

Brand- and equipment-type-neutral acquisition with standard input, output, speed, state, downtime, runtime, timestamp, acquisition interval and data-quality semantics.

03

Equipment Coverage

Printing, postpress, packaging-line and general equipment—including Heidelberg, Koenig & Bauer, manroland, Komori, BOBST, POLAR, MBO, Müller Martini, Kolbus, JMD, Beiren and Guanghua—can connect through CNP4-capable PRINTPILOT gateways. Available data points depend on protocol, PLC, native-signal, sensor and site conditions.

04

Equipment Parameters

Standard identity, category, brand, model, year, process, controller, protocol, rated capability and parameter version.

05

Sensors & Points

Standard point identity, address, data type, unit, range, interval, threshold and calibration across PLCs, native signals, sensors and meters.

06

Energy Data

Separate electricity, water and gas collection with standard meters, intervals, units, tariffs and quality rules.

07

Performance

Comparable hourly foundations for availability, performance, quality, OEE, TEEP and energy efficiency, always capped at 100%.

08

Hardware & Network

Standard models, naming, configuration, identity, IP/MAC, installation and lifecycle management.

09

Data Trust

Source traceability, exception detection, authorized correction, recalculation and full audit history.

OPEN ECOSYSTEM

Designed to connect software companies, equipment makers and delivery partners

CNP4 allows partners to connect without redefining the same industrial objects for every project.
01

Software Partners

ERP, MES and industry-software providers can consume standardized equipment and energy data.

02

Equipment Makers

Machine builders can provide reusable data-point and status definitions for their equipment families.

03

Delivery Partners

Engineering and service partners follow consistent installation, acceptance and maintenance records.
